This is a 1926 Ford Model T with a genuine Henry Ford steel body, but you better believe it leaves the rest of its history behind in its dust. With a small block V8, independent rear suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, custom interior, slick paint, and much more, this is a wilder ride than ‘ol Henry ever imagined. When most people think about a genuine Model T, this is the last thing that pops into their minds. And that’s what makes this one so uniquely cool. It has discarded all of the old ways, right down to the vibrant purple that’s done in a modern clearcoat application. In fact, this is the perfect color for a car like this, because the high gloss finish lets you really see the curves in the hood, fenders, and rear that are often not recognized on other Model Ts. And of course, an aggressive color like this works perfectly with the stance. We love how there are classic wire wheels, but now they are not only color-matched but also staggered 14/15 inches front/rear for a very intimidating profile. A shining chrome grille, purple headlight covers, a sharp-looking roof, and plenty of custom pinstriping are all part of the detailed style that tell you this is a thoughtful build. Since the exterior is so updated and upgraded, the interior is, too. After all, people will always be able to get a look inside, and so the purple upholstery gives this an almost seamless look inside and out. And with less than 550 miles on the full build, the full package looks fresh. The wraparound bench seats with button-top finish are pure classic Model T cool, but when done in purple, it really looks like a hot rod custom. There are some nice additions like an AM/FM/cassette stereo and front seatbelts. And the traditional floor shifter and a full set of VDO gauges are much more than what you got from stock. But they left the right touches of vintage with the side wind wing glass, two-piece windshield, and the four-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel. There’s plenty more custom work under the hood. After all, the Model T’s little chugger of a motor has been replaced with some serious small block power. This upgrade is ready to be displayed with plenty of polished components and an overall tidy setup. So you can also clearly see the full motor package. It’s a 327 cubic-inch V8 bored .30 over and topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. As you look at the undercarriage photos, you’re going to see a full custom setup with a color-matched style and a polished four-link drop axle front end with disc brakes and adjustable coilovers. In the rear is a Jaguar-style independent suspension with adjustable coilovers and inboard disc brakes. So this is not only powerful, but also it has the suspension components to utilize it correctly. Plus, with features like a limited-slip rear end with 4.11 gears and a three-speed automatic transmission with 2500 RPM stall, it’s the right mix of street machine and cruiser. The sale comes with build receipts and restoration photos. This build is thoughtful, powerful, and absolutely unique. So don’t miss out on a true head-turner, call today!
