This 1927 Ford Roadster delivers the best in street machine style, and of course, street-eating 392 Hemi power

So when you’re looking for style and muscle in a flame-kissed package, this one is absolutely irresistible.

This one has the true hot rod look you want. The deeply dipping grille up front, a tall rear, and a big V8 on display for the world to see are all part of the icon. This has traveled a few miles in its lifetime, because after all, the best cars were made to be driven. But this was also built to be a standout that can be enjoyed. For example, the pearl white paint is an even application that does a good job of radiating in the sunshine. The body is steel, but the rear fenders are fiberglass. That’s how you get a great custom look with them formed to the extra wide rear tires. There are other cool details, like the way the yellow wheels kick off a full accent color package for the car. And the flames are painted on the sides with a nice pinstripe border.

A roadster like this keeps its interior presented to the world, and so this one does a great job of coordinating with the exterior. It starts with the white bench seat with yellow inserts and piping to match the wheels. Plus, the side panels are also done in a matching yellow. But what’s really impressive are the little extra touches that make this a better driving machine. You have a Lecarra sports steering wheel on a tilt column, and the dash is dominated by a full set of classic-style VDO readouts. And the push-button transmission is a cool nod to the Mopar power that’s fully on display in front of you.

Chrysler’s 392 cubic-inch Hemi is a drag racing legend, but we don’t see them too often any more in hot rods like this. So this dual four-barrel carburetor setup makes for a roadster that’s distinct, authentic, and quite powerful. There’s also nice details with everything from the Offenhauser valve covers to the lake-style headers with the choice of a thunderous side exit or routing the rumble out of the rear. The undercarriage photos show a thoughtful color-matched presentation with all the main suspension components done in yellow. This draws attention to the well-done setup of a four-link drop axle front end, and a four-link rear with stabilized link and coilovers. And everything from the Powerflight automatic transmission to the front disc brakes help give this a solid and confident feeling on the road.
