1954 Austin Healey 100-4 BN-1 roadster hot rod. 327 Chevy motor with Muncie 4 speed stick and Hurst linkage. Rear axle has traction bars. Long before I got it the car was built as a drag strip/ street racer. Current license and registration and insurance. Runs and drives. Very fast car. .At 6’1′ and 225 pounds with size 13EEE shoes I’m just too damn big for the car. This beast needs a small driver. With the seats that came with the car in place I can’t operate it. Even with just a sheet metal seat I’m cramped and have a hard time using the foot pedals. The seats that came with the car are non Healey and have been re-upholstered and the new padding is too thick for me to fit. The body is rough and the paint I shot on the car hides a multitude of sins but from 20 feet at 70 MPH she looks pretty nice. New aluminum radiator and fan—she runs cool. The trunk has a new rubber seal and getting it fit properly so the lid will latch is an ongoing effort. The tires have almost new tread. Legend has it that Carroll Shelby built 3 cars similar to this with 265 cu in Chevy motors under the hood—a 100-4 and 2 100-6s. Parts are readily available from Moss Motors in Goleta, CA. Has a canvas top with all the hardware but poor condition and side curtains that need to be rebuilt. Tires are good and wire wheels sound. I recommend viewing the car prior to buying. Located in Ventura county, CA. Spedo does not work and I have no idea what the actual mileage is, the car is 71 years old
