1937 Plymouth hot rod

This is a very cool old pro-street. Street Rod. Hot Rod. Gasser. Custom.

It is an older build, but it was a very high end build when it was done. Complete custom made 2″ x 4″ rectangular steel frame front to back, so this was a true body off the frame build. Coil over suspension front and back. Tubular “A” arms in front. Ladder bars in back. Narrowed 9″ Ford rear end with a posi unit and street friendly gears. Body is very straight except some past damage that was not repaired very well on lower left rear fender. Hood, trunk lid, front fenders, and running boards are fiberglass. Original steel rear fenders are molded into the body. It looks like the top has a slight chop to it. Paint is older but still shows very well. The copper color has a lot of micro flake in it and flames. Weld Draglite wheels and Mickey Thompson 29 x 15.5 x 15 prostreet tires. Power disc brakes up front, drum rears. Rack and pinion steering. All of the lights work. Interior is a very nice custom made in high quality black roll in pleat and is complete with head liner. Tilt steering wheel. Trunk is fully carpeted. Power windows.

Engine is a 360 cu in Magnum from a later model Dodge truck. These were the last of the small block Chryslers and the best engines to build for power. Forged steel crank. Full roller engines, etc. This one has a set of Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads. Judging by the lope when idling, and how fast it is, I’d say that it is a very high performance engine with a high lift cam. It does run on premium pump gas with no issues. And, it has no trouble turning over those big back tires. Trans is a 727 Torqueflite.
