A fresh 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 crate motor rated at 350 horsepower provides plenty of motive force, and it’s famous for prodigious torque and an insane ability to rev. The engine bay is neatly arranged and easy to service, and thanks to a well-tuned Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, it starts easily and idles well, even when cold. HEI lights the fires and there’s high-quality equipment throughout, from the headers to the custom oil pan, and the Pete & Jake chassis. With less than 1000 miles on the build, it’s still fresh but all the bugs have been worked out and it drives great. Dual exhaust has a throaty rumble, and suspension offers a traditional dropped axles up front and a 4-link holding up a Ford 9-inch rear end. In between, there’s a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, making this a rod you can drive just about anywhere. Handsome and classic Torque Thrust wheels are in excellent condition and wear traditional-looking big-n-little rubber that vies the cabrio a nice rake.
