This 1932 Ford Roadster is a low-mileage steel-body build that brings together proper V8 power, a terrific suspension, a supple leather interior, and awesome custom paint package applied and signed by industry legends.
It all makes for one of those total package customs that keeps people talking long after you have left the car show.
You can really tell this is a top-quality machine. It starts with an all-steel Brooksville body professionally assembled by Roberts Restoration in Ohio. The buckeye state is important in this car, because it’s also home to national legends Wade Hughes and Josh Shaw. So Hughes did the amazing flames over the ultra-sleek black, and Shaw is responsible for the hand-painted pinstriping around the fire that gives this inferno a whole new added dimension. Not only do you get to tell this full story, but you also get to show where they signed off on their artistry on this roadster. And since this was completed in 2018, and there’s less than 2k miles on the odometer, it all has the fresh look of a big $$$$ investment. While the custom flames make this look speedy, it’s far from the only performance touch. This was built to be sleeker and more intimidating with the wind-swept raked windshield, louvered hood, and forward-leaning stance. And speaking of the stance, we love how they utilized proper classic salt flat wheels with extra meaty rear ones to get the look just right for a classic ’32.
The canvas top has a clean and low look style that looks great when it’s in place, but we all really know these were meant to be open to the world. So the whole thing lifts off to give you a true roadster that shows off a truly stunning interior. It starts with seat that has a classic bench style, but it’s been contoured to give you individual comfort. Plus, we love the supple leather. This is a full custom setup, and you see it in the details, like how the door panels and kick plates have accents to match the carpeting, and pieces like the carpet piping and shift boot match the leather seats. A regular hot rod is supposed to be a bare bones machine, but this one is an upper-class one that integrates added style and function. So you get a classic-looking Ford dual-spoke wheel that’s mounted on a tilt column. There are elegant pedals and a Lokar floor shifter. And the dash is dominated by crisp Classic Instruments gauges.
The show-ready presentation continues under the hood. After all, people will love seeing the air grabber and valve covers custom painted to match the flame-kissed exterior. And as you dig a little deeper, you’ll love getting to tell people that this classic Ford style has proper blue oval power. It’s a mighty 302 cubic-inch V8. Since these love upgrades, this one has an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, electronic ignition, and shorty headers feeding the dual exhaust. While this build has low mileage, there are the right pieces to keep it a great cruiser, including a large electric fan, power brakes w/front discs, and a four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive.
This is an upper-class package for both show and go. So if you’re looking for the ultimate ’32 Ford, you know this one needs to be in your garage.
