1929 Ford Model A Track Roadster “The Mariner”
Here’s your chance to buy a truly unique project that is fast, fun, and ready to be finished to your style!
This 29’Track Roadster was Based on a Brookville cowl with most of the rest being handmade by a master TIG submarine welder in South Georgia. As a lifelong fabricator this was his swan song but he never completed the project. He built the Custom tube chassis, installed the motor, built the windshield posts, and had the general shape of the car in place. His dream was to drive it to track events andthen run it on the strip.
I bought the car 8 years ago and have simply run out of funds and now have a family so its not big enough for us. I Have all the original sketches, diagrams, receipts and notes from the original owner. A personal friend of mine and also a recognized professional fabricator Bryan Fuller of www.fullermoto.com helped me along with the car. Their team got the car’s fabrication up the point where it would be drivable.
The car is really unique being powered by the marine Ford 4 cylinder engine. It’s been fully machined and dialed to perfection! The Weber’s have been switched out, tuned, and work great thanks to an english specialist Terry Gerome. These are tricky to get right so having them ready to go is very important. Most all the systems are working and have been tested for about 500 miles. Lightweight with a ton of torque makes this super fun to drive. She shifts like a dream thanks to the T5 with McCleod Clutch assembly and is so lightweight and nimble! Confidence inspiring too on the freeway as its much more stable than the normal 30’s car thanks to the extensive chassis tubes that extend up to the tops of where doors would be.
At this point this special little car is ready for Interior, exterior bodywork if desired, or just drive it like a street legal go kart as is! I have videos I can provide of the car at request.
This car is registered in Georgia with an actual original 1929 Ga. Plate. New buyer will need to have a form T-22B signed by a Georgia Officer to re-register the car as a non-title vehicle. Out of state buyer will need to understand registration laws in your stated. Headlights, tail lights, blinkers and horn all working
