This 1929 Ford 5-window coupe is an awesome hot rod with a sleek black body, an extra-bold upgraded red interior and a cool V8 on display with a triple deuce setup. So it’s time to fall in love with a true street machine
The black paint has a slick shine that gives this car a true street machine attitude. So when the sunshine hits the body, you really get to see a complete and clean setup that highlights some of the best classic Ford curves. Of course, not all of Ford’s lines are in place, because this hot rod saves weight and adds boldness with the deleted bumpers, deleted fenders, and an open engine bay. And we particularly like the wheels. They draw attention to the aggressive forward-leaning stance and extra-wide rear tires highlight where the power meets the pavement. Plus, that nice touch of red is also a preview of what’s inside.
The red interior is almost radiating against the black exterior. So it’s a devilishly handsome setup that makes this hot rod red-hot. They built In the right comforts with full carpeting, nice door panels, and well-bolstered bucket seats. But nothing takes away from that simple and driver-oriented feeling. The tall shifter, smooth dash, auxiliary gauges, and a banjo-style steering wheel (now in a tilt column) are pure classic cool.
The 327 cubic-inch V8 is on display for the world to see. So you know you’re going to watch plenty of people point to the three chrome intake covers that showcase a triple set of dual-barrel carburetors. More than just a triple-deuce, this has the full hot rod style of an Offenhauser intake, classic Corvette valve covers, and headers feeding directly into the wicked growl of the exhaust. It’s true old-school fun, but if you look a little closer, you’ll also spot some nice modern upgrades. This includes the Mallory distributor, electric fan, and the battery and fuel cell in the trunk for better weight distribution. The suspension gives you classic hairpins in front and a four-link rear with adjustable coilovers. There are also good driving features like a three-speed automatic transmission and front disc brakes.
